DJ AM a.k.a. Adam Goldstein was found dead yesterday in his New York City apartment. He was just 36 year-old and the evidence thus far points to a depressed suicide. Less than a year ago, DJ AM with Travis Barker were the only survivers of a Lear Jet plane crash that killed 4 others. Following that September 2008 DJ AM Plane crash, Goldstein made a complete recovery. Miraculously he survived a fiery plane crash in South Carolina only to die at his own drug addicted hands. The celebrity disc jockey who publicly acknowledged his history of drug addiction and had filmed a reality show in which he offered to help other addicts, was found dead of an apparent overdose. TMZ reports:

Sources tell TMZ prescription pill bottles were found near DJ AMs body this afternoon. Were told his body was found at around 5 PM at his apartment in New York City — he was shirtless and wearing sweatpants. He was face down.

UPDATE 10:33 PM ET: Crime scene investigators just entered the apartment with evidence bags.

UPDATE 9:15 PM ET: Law enforcement sources say the call came in at 5:24 PM — the FDNY responded at 5:27 PM. Were told DJ AM was pronounced dead on the scene at 6:00 PM.

UPDATE 8:35 PM ET: A law enforcement source on scene tells TMZ a glass “crack pipe” was found in his bedroom. The pill bottles were found in the kitchen.

UPDATE 8:10 PM ET: Sources say a pipe commonly used to smoke drugs was also found inside the bedroom.

UPDATE 7:51 PM ET: Were told his body has not been removed from the apartment.

You would think a person who survived a fiery plane crash would have develop a greater appreciation of life. 9 out of 10 this was another one of his occasional suicide attempts but totally successful this time around. Adam Michael Goldstein (March 30, 1973 – August 28, 2009) was an American club disc jockey better known as DJ AM. Goldstein was a former member of the rock band Crazy Town, and scratched on albums for Papa Roach, Madonna, and Will Smith, among others. He collaborated with Travis Barker of Blink-182 at the 2008 MTV Video Music Awards, and appeared in several television series.

On September 19, 2008, Goldstein was seriously injured when a Learjet he was traveling in crashed on takeoff. Singer Mandy Moore, with whom he was close, flew to be by his side at the Georgia hospital where he was staying. He had been battling post-traumatic stress after the crash, and suffering from survivor guilt.

Joe Francis, the founder of the Girls Gone Wild franchise at 61″, 200 pounds and Jayde Nicole, Brody Jenners girlfriend and 2008 Playmate of the Year at 59″, 110 pounds went at it last night at Guys & Dolls nightclub in West Hollywood and by “went at it” I mean Joe beat the shit out of Jayde. Chris Brown would have have been proud. Francis was allegedly harrassing an ex-girlfriend when the 2008 Playboy Playmate of the Year, Jayde Nicole got involved and threw her drink on Joe. So what did Francis do? Dude had a “nigga moment” and punched Jayde Nicole in the face, knock her to the ground and started kicking the shit out of her allegedly of course. Radar Online reports:

The alleged incident happened around 2:46 AM Friday at Guys and Dolls, a club in West Hollywood.

According to Nicole, the attack happened after she spilled her drink on Francis. She says Francis became enraged and grabbed her by the hair, punched her, threw her to the ground where he kicked her.

One of Jaydes friends tried to fight him off and Francis allegedly hit that girl also. Security was called in to try and break it up. Jenner tried to grab Francis and ended up ripping his shirt. Francis then ran out of club and hasnt been seen since.

A police report has been filed and Nicole said she would press charges.

Brody since updated his Twitter to let fans (really?) know about the incident:
